National standing committees, special advisory committees, and commissions are an important part of NACAC’s leadership structure, vital to its success. Our dedicated members lend their expertise to the issues, programs, and governance that keep the association current and strategic in serving its members, the profession, and students.
Each of the 11 standing committees typically include seven NACAC voting members who are selected and approved by the Board of Directors to serve a three-year term. Committee chairs serve a two-year term.
Special advisory committees and commissions, by contrast, are convened to address a specific task within a defined timeline.
