National Standing and Special Committees
National standing committees, special advisory committees, and commissions are an important part of NACAC’s leadership structure and are vital to its success. Members lend their expertise to the issues, programs, and governance that keep the association current and strategic in serving its members, the profession, and students.
Each of the three standing committees typically include seven NACAC voting members who are selected and approved by the Board of Directors to serve up to a three-year term. Committee chairs serve up to a two-year term.
Special advisory committees and commissions, by contrast, are convened to address specific tasks within a defined timeline.
