Special Interest Groups

It's easy to get involved with one of NACAC's Special Interest Groups. Active Special Interest Groups address member issues and concerns surrounding such topics as Community College issues, GLBTQ students and allies, African-American, Asian/Pacific Islander and Latino/Hispanic issues and private and public school counseling concerns.

E-LEARNING

NACAC's first e-learning course is a set of online training modules that will enable members to learn at their own pace. The program—developed for entry-level professionals in both the counseling and admission fields, features informative graphics and videos, as well as quizzes to help you measure your progress. The online course is an affordable, user-friendly tool that helps educate counselors on a vital part of their job.

My involvement with NACAC has helped me remember that so many important contributions are done quietly, done by proud professionals who love what they do and want to help others on the educational path to success. I am amazed by so many great people who give their time and talents at NACAC’s national conference to present. Thank you NACAC, for helping me meet so many great people in my profession.

In their own words

NACAC has served as an excellent plug to be able to connect with students outside of Pennsylvania. As a counselor, there are so many different states, cities, areas that one could find themselves in meeting new students. NACAC’s national conferences help me network myself and NACAC’s college fairs help me network with students.

I have always looked to NACAC to outline the standards for our profession and to keep me informed about important issues impacting our work and the students we serve. NACAC has also provided me with some of the most beneficial professional development opportunities both in programming (conferences) and in networking. I enjoy connecting with colleagues from all over the world who are coming together with the same mission.
