Ad Hoc Committee on Advancing NACAC Advocacy

About NACAC Advocacy

NACAC is the trusted voice of the college admission counseling profession, representing and advocating for federal policies that protect students' college access and that support the professionals who serve them in their college admission journeys.

NACAC's advocacy is far reaching. Our association has a regular presence on Capitol Hill, supports and amplifies peer organizations' advocacy efforts, and works to ensure our members have the resources they need to navigate federal-policy changes that impact their work.

Recently, NACAC's sustained advocacy helped preserve federal funding for critical education programs, such as the Pell Grant, TRIO, GEAR-UP, work-study, Minority-Serving Institutions, and more, with the passage of the FY 2026 Labor-Health and Human Services-Education funding legislation. Our advocacy also helped keep harmful provisions out of H.R.1, also known as the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA).

For regular updates about NACAC's advocacy efforts and ways you can participate, see NACAC Advocacy in Action

There's more work to be done, and we want your help. Please consider joining our Ad Hoc Committee on Advancing NACAC Advocacy today.
