In 2019, NACAC is hosting its first ever EAP preconference seminar. This three-hour session will be held in conjunction with the 75th National Conference in Louisville, KY in September. Registration for this seminar and the national conference opens March 26.

Emerging Admission Professionals: Cultivating Leaders

8 a.m. - 11 a.m.
NACAC recognizes the importance of engaging novice admission professionals at the national level. The Emerging Admission Professionals (EAP) initiative connects novice admission professionals with their peers and seasoned professionals in the field. The purpose of this seminar is to engage and expose participants, with 0-5 years of experience, to pressing issues in the ever-evolving higher education admission landscape, pathways to professional advancement, and core knowledge, skills, and abilities for senior-level admission officers. Topics to be discussed include access and success, advocacy, and leadership competencies.

The Emerging Admission Professionals Special Interest Group’s mission is to educate and build community within the future leaders of NACAC and its affiliates. The purpose of the group is to provide dedicated, emerging admission and secondary school counselors with a way to gain knowledge to not only enhance their ability to serve the students they work with but to also lead us towards a better future.
