The AXS Companion is a free, no‑login, NACAC “Approved Source” guide that walks students step‑by‑step through every section of the Common App—without collecting any student data. The website features short how‑to videos, clear written explanations and examples, and a glossary of key terms, all designed for students to use side‑by‑side on a phone or computer.

During this session, we will explore why professional associations trust the AXS Companion and how it dramatically reduces repetitive “How do I…?” questions related to the Common App, FERPA release, activities, essays, courses and grades, and financial aid—especially for first-generation and under‑resourced students and families.

The AXS Toolbox further supports counselors with free, customizable lesson plans, slide decks, and student worksheets—built by counselors, for counselors—that can be used as templates for workshops, advisory periods, classroom lessons, and family nights. Every resource is fully editable, easy to implement (“use it tomorrow”), and designed to be embedded on counseling websites or shared school‑ or district‑wide without adding privacy risks or cost barriers.

Supported by The AXS Foundation, the AXS Companion aims to increase clarity and access for all students as they navigate the college application process.
