Power in Networking: Women, Connection, and Taking Up Space

Research has shown how beneficial it is for women to establish professional networks for career advancement and success. Access to opportunity isn’t always distributed equally in professional spaces, and strong professional connections can open doors when skill alone doesn’t. These relationships are a way to build power, and not just the visibility that networking is often associated with.

Carolyn Croft Blair, Director of College Counseling at the Sage Hill School, Tara Nelan, Director of Regional Recruitment and Professional Development at Hampden-Sydney College, and Yvonne Espinoza, Women in Admission SIG and Board of Directors Co-Chair and College Counselor and CEO of Yvonne Espinoza College Counseling Services, will be discussing different aspects of existing in professional spaces and forming connections, as well as conducting a Q&A at the end of the hour.

This one-hour webinar is free and will take place on Friday, August 29th, at 11:30am CT.

This session will not be recorded to ensure a safe space for open conversation.
