LGBTQ+ SIG

The LGBTQ+ SIG provides opportunities for members to discuss issues of college admission that affect LGBTQ+ students and professionals. The group also tries to decide how to respond to various events that impact our students and colleagues who are dealing with challenging issues, such as coming out, bullying, state and federal laws, and new interpretations of Title IX.

Additionally, the LGBTQ+ SIG seeks to provide opportunities for colleagues to be in community with one another – to share stories, support, encouragement, and thought partnership. And to celebrate the many and intersectional identities of our membership.

The SIG has compiled resources for supporting LGBTQ+ students in the college search and application process.
