postsecondary institutions in general. Join us as we explore the challenges that
limit HBCUs in the 21st Century, while also elevating opportunities and
successful practices that make this segment of institutions so critical to our
national equity goals.

Presidents dedicated to HBCU success will discuss their thoughts on how HBCUs
continue to meet the moment in the current landscape which includes the SCOTUS
decision, shifting enrollment trends and goals, college affordability, and the
rising cost of providing a postsecondary education,

1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. The HBCU Do’s and Don’ts to Navigate the Political
Landscape

In this highly interactive session, we’ll engage in a dynamic conversation where
we’ll discuss the most effective strategies that historically black colleges and
universities (HBCUs) can use to create a favorable impression with their local,
state, and federal legislators. We’ll explore the best practices that HBCUs can
adopt to build strong relationships with lawmakers and promote their interests
effectively.

Panel  

Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs) hold a unique place and serve
a distinct and diverse population in American higher education. This
conversation aims to provide enrollment/admission professionals a space to
engage in meaningful conversations about access, affordability, and persistence
from not only the HBCU lens but also through the professional roles of our
panelists who represent the Secondary, Postsecondary, Community-Based
Organizations, and Independent Education Consultants cross-sections of our
association membership.
