Frequently Asked Questions
Planning is underway for GWI 2026, but it’s never too early to ask questions. Here are some of the more common ones.
GWI will be held on Tuesday, July 28 and Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at the University Student Center in Washington, D.C.
800 21st Street NW
Washington, D.C. 20052
Each day will be chock-full of education sessions, main stage programming, and small group meetings. We suggest arriving in DC on Monday, July 27 and departing on Thursday, July 30 (or late in the day on Wednesday, July 29).
There are no room blocks for GWI attendees, however there are plenty of affordable housing options in the area. All confirmed registrants will receive a list of recommended hotels. Attendees are wholly responsible for booking their own accommodations.
Washington, D.C. is served by three major airports:
– Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)
– Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD)
– Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI)
Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) is highly recommended as it offers direct public transportation links to the event venue and nearby hotels.
Attire at Guiding the Way to Impact is business casual. Wear comfortable shoes. We recommend dressing in layers as air conditioning is difficult to regulate in large facilities. Rooms may be overly warm or cool.
NACAC does not provide childcare services during GWI. Attendees requiring assistance with childcare should contact their hotel concierge.
Light refreshments will be available during the conference. Lunch will be served on Wednesday, July 29 as part of small group programming.
See NACAC’s health and safety guidelines to learn more.
