About this workshop

As the field of college admission evolves, so does the role of college counseling. Leading a Dynamic College Counseling Program (Leading) is an intensive workshop designed to support professionals in the acquisition of essential tools, resources, and knowledge pertaining to the field.

College counseling professionals, regardless of title, can lead their program and facilitate change from any position. The facilitators of this workshop provide hands-on training, as well as resources to support participants in their pursuit of becoming a transformative leader in their college counseling office.

Topics include: defining and understanding leadership, inclusive counseling, data-driven decision making, and preventing counselor burnout.

The director of Leading is Stacy Richardson, director of college counseling, the Potomac School (VA).

Who should attend

This workshop is for secondary school and college counseling professionals, college counseling department directors and supervisors, aspiring directors, and veteran counselors.

Course materials

Recordings and workshop materials will be made available via the learning management system to registrants for two weeks after the last day of the workshop. These are available only to paid registrants and will not be sold after the live event.

How to register

The cost is $350 for members and $375 for non-members.

EARLY REGISTRATIONĀ (until Nov. 23): $300 for members and $325 for non-members.Ā Seats are limited.The registration deadline is Wednesday, Dec. 1 or when seats are filled.

No refunds will be provided, although a substitute participant may be designated.
