Arlington, VA (Aug. 8, 2019) — Slate.org has generously contributed $25,000 to the National Association for College Admission Counseling’s Imagine Fund, marking the largest single donation the program has ever received.

Each year, the Imagine Fund awards grants to college admission professionals or NACAC affiliate associations supporting students in the transition to higher education. The grants offer recipients the chance to participate in professional development opportunities or implement a new innovative program serving students or the profession.

The additional funds provided by Slate.org will be awarded as part of the 2020 grant cycle. In all, NACAC will award $75,000 in Imagine Grants in the coming year. Applicants serving underrepresented populations are given priority in the grant selection process.

“Slate.org is committed to having a positive and transformative effect on education and college access,” said Alexander Grant Clark, founder and CEO of Technolutions, the creator of Slate.org — a free tool designed to connect school counselors and community-based organizations with colleges and universities across the globe. “Our contribution to NACAC’s Imagine Fund allows us to directly support hard working college counselors as they build their professional skills and assist students in the college admission process.”

“NACAC thanks Slate.org for its generosity, which will help the Imagine Grant program expand significantly,” said NACAC CEO Joyce Smith. “This donation offers our association the opportunity to positively impact even more counselors this year.”

Applications for the program’s professional development and special project grants are open now through Dec. 2. Any individual seeking funding must be a member of their NACAC affiliate association.
