Ambassador Program Recruitment Tips

Recruitment Tips

  • Recruiting your colleagues to join NACAC should be easy and fun! Some people out there are just waiting to be approached and learn about NACAC for them to join.  Here are some helpful recruitment tips from NACAC.
Look for the ideal candidate within your school, circle of friends in the profession, or in any related events that you might be participating
  • Share your own NACAC experience and story and tell them how you are benefitting from membership in the association
  • Ask questions about their needs and career goals and based on what they will tell you, identify and discuss a membership benefit specific to their needs and goals
  •  A copy of member benefit (ROI) flyer will be available to you to share with your potential recruits
  • NACAC membership (for individual voting member affiliated with a member institution) costs only $2.33 a day
  • If they belong to non-member institutions/organizations, encourage them to consider institutional/organizational memberships and let them know that each institutional/organizational membership comes with one complimentary individual membership
  • Offer some assistance in filling out or submitting membership application
  • Follow-up after a few weeks to see if they have joined already or if they have any questions about the application
  • Show your appreciation to your recruits by sending an email or handwritten note and thanking them for joining NACAC
