As part of former First First Lady Michelle Obama's Reach Higher initiative, Better Make Room is a nationwide public awareness campaign that motivates young people ages 14-19 to strive for success in college. This campaign was created in order to establish a space that celebrates education, and it sparked change in the national conversation regarding postsecondary pursuits.
Through partnerships with a variety of stakeholders, the campaign intends to reach a wide base. Partners include Civic Nation, the US Department of Education, and a number of diverse education-related organizations and foundations. With a wide range of media tools available, different pathways to commit to attaining postsecondary goals, and a texting platform to support and encourage students, Better Make Room plans to continue motivating students to strive for college into the future.
