The NACAC Assembly of delegates, representing all 23 NACAC affiliates, met on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019 in Louisville, Kentucky.
In addition to electing new President-elect Todd Rinehart, vice chancellor for enrollment at the University of Denver (CO), and three new board directors— Cornell LeSane, vice president for enrollment and dean of admissions at Allegheny College (PA); Angelica Melendez, college and financial aid specialist at South San Antonio High School (TX); and Delorean Menifee, director of admission at Butler University (IN)—the following special actions were approved:
- Special Motion #1
The procedural rules were suspended so that no amendments to the Code of Ethics and Professional Practices were permitted by the delegates of the 2019 Assembly, except those mandated or recommended by NACAC's antitrust legal counsel handling the Department of Justice antitrust investigation.
- Special Motion #2
Section II A.3.a.vi, Section II B Introduction, Section II B.5 and Section II D.5 were deleted from the Code of Ethics and Professional Practices as recommended by NACAC's antitrust legal counsel handling the Department of Justice antitrust investigation
- Special Motion #3
The moratorium on enforcement of the Code of Ethics and Professional Practices was extended for up to one year or until legal review has been resolved with the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice.
