NACAC President Stefanie Niles invites you to attend the 2019 NACAC Annual Membership Meeting.
This is the official notice of the Annual Membership Meeting of the National Association for College Admission Counseling.
Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019
3 p.m.- 5 p.m., Eastern Time (Voting member check-in will begin at 2 p.m.)
Kentucky International Convention Center, Exhibit Hall A, 221 S. 4th St., Louisville, KY 40202.
Members will be asked to vote on amendments to the bylaws regarding the Membership Model, removing references to the Code of Ethics and Professional Practices, and providing a limited extension of authority to the NACAC Board of Directors in extraordinary legal circumstances. NACAC’s Bylaws state that only voting members in good standing on the 60th day (4:30 p.m. Eastern Time, July 30, 2019) prior to the Annual Membership meeting are eligible to vote. Please see below for links to the proposed changes.
Voting by proxy
NACAC voting members who would like to vote on the proposed bylaws amendments but who are unable to attend the meeting may designate a proxy to vote on their behalf. Members submitting a proxy ballot will indicate on the ballot their vote on the proposed amendments. By designating a proxy, members give that individual the authority to vote on their behalf on any additional motions presented from the floor at the Annual Membership Meeting. Proxy ballots will be counted when establishing the quorum.
To vote by proxy members must
- Be a voting member of NACAC in good standing by July 30, 2019.
- Assign a proxy who is a voting member of NACAC in good standing by July 30, 2019.
- Submit the completed proxy ballot to NACAC no later than 4:30 p.m. ET on Sept. 16, 2019. Incomplete proxy ballots will not be counted.
(Proxy ballots received after this time cannot be accepted)
- Notify your proxy to check in at the Teller Table to pick up a proxy voting card at the Annual Membership Meeting.
