Committee Updates 2020
The Ad Hoc Committee on Leadership in College Admission met February 24-25 at the NACAC offices to discuss future directions for the association and the profession on a range of pressing issues.
More than 550 NACAC members submitted feedback to help inform the committee’s discussion. While comments spanned the range of issues and perspectives, several themes emerged from the analysis, including, but not limited to, a continued emphasis on good/best practice, the importance of transparency in college admission and in association processes, and the desire for a strong voice on behalf of college admission counseling professionals in an uncertain environment.
Work continues into a second phase, where the committee will identify and articulate strategic drivers that will form the basis of recommendations to the board. Thank you for your feedback, and look forward to more updates in the near future.
