Flight Discounts
Alaska Airlines offers flight discounts for Critical Components attendees. Visit www.alaskaair.com and input the code ECMU600 when looking for flights. The 5 percent discount will be applied to any flights meeting the contract parameters. You may also call the Alaska Airlines Group Desk at 1-800-445-4435, to secure a reservation; however a $15 ticketing fee will be applied. The Group Desk hours of operation are Monday - Friday 6am-6pm PST, Saturday 7:30am-6pm PST, closed Sunday.
NACAC has also partnered with American Airlines to provide Critical Components attendees a 5 percent discount off ANY published airfare on www.aa.com. Visit www.aa.com (no fee) to book your flight and use promotion code 4353DN. This special discount is valid off any applicable published fares listed for American Airlines, American Eagle, and American Connection. International originating guests will need to contact your local reservation number and refer to the Promotion Code. You may also call 1-800-433-1790 to book your flights, please refer to the Authorization Number below when you call. Please note there is a reservation service charge for all tickets issued by phone.
Arriving at Portland International Airport (PDX), your options are below:
The Blue Star Transportation Group is Portland's own door-to-door airport shuttle service. Reservations are required and must be made at least 24 hours before your scheduled pick-up time. You can secure your shuttle reservation by phone at (800) 247-2272. When making reservations, mention that you are attending Critical Components to receive the $11 fare each way.
Taxi
The taxi pick-up area is located in the center section of the airport, on the same floor as baggage claim and departures. From the airport, the meter starts at $5 and the rate is $2.60 per mile and $1 for each additional passenger. The cost for a taxi is approximately $35 one-way.
Driving Instructions
From Portland International Airport: Merge onto I-205 S/Veterans Memorial Hwy toward I-84/Portland/Salem. Merge onto I-84 W/US-30 W via EXIT 21B toward Portland. Take the I-5 S exit on the left toward Beaverton/Salem/City Center. Take the exit toward City Center. Keep right to take the ramp toward Morrison St./City Center. Turn slight right onto Morrison Bridge. Take the ramp toward Naito Pkwy/I-5 S/Salem. Keep right to take the Front Ave. ramp toward I-5 S/Salem. Hotel is 1/2 mile on right. //Northbound on I-5: Take City Center/Naito Parkway exit. Go through 4 stoplights (Road Turns into Clay Street). Turn right on 2nd Ave, take next right onto Columbia Street for 2 blocks. Turn Right on Naito Parkway, Hotel Entrance is the second driveway on the right.*
