NACAC's 69th National Conference
September 19-21, 2013
Wednesday, September 18, 2013
8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (7:30 a.m. breakfast, break and lunch included)
In this one-day workshop, the keys to starting and building your independent college counseling practice will be presented in cooperation with the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA). You will gain the resources and knowledge needed to make a successful transition—from business skills (marketing, contracts, business planning) to the differences between school-based and independent consulting, including parent involvement, ethics, field research, and more. This workshop is designed specifically for those now working as university admission officers or secondary school counselors who are considering using their existing knowledge to begin work as independent educational consultants.
