From north and west of Chicago, take 90/94 to the 35th street exit. Turn Left (away from US Cellular Field) and head east on 35th. ChiArts is located about ½ mile from the freeway, just east of Martin Luther King Drive.
From south of Chicago, take 90/94 to the 35th street exit. Turn Right (away from US Cellular Field) and head east on 35th. ChiArts is located about ½ mile from the freeway, just east of Martin Luther King Drive.
By Public transportation:
ChiArts can be reached via the Green and Red CTA lines, as well as the #4 or #3 buses from downtown.
Red Line: take to Sox/35th. Exit the CTA station and cross 35th street to the south side of the street. Catch the #35 bus, and ride to the “Rhodes” stop. This will put you at the front door of ChiArts.
Green Line: take to Bronzeville/IIT. Exit the CTA station at the south end of the platform, and cross 35th street to the south side of the street. Catch the
#35 bus, and ride to the “Rhodes” stop. This will put you at the front door of ChiArts.
#4: Take the #4 bus south (in the direction of CSU/95th) from any stop along Michigan Avenue downtown. This bus stops at the front door of ChiArts.
#3: Take the #3 bus from McCormick Place Convention Center or from downtown. Exit at 35th and MLK Drive. Walk .10 miles east to ChiArts.
Train fare is $2.25 + .25 transfer to the bus.
Bus fare is $2.25.
By Cab:
Taxi fare from downtown Chicago is about $10, not including tip. All Chicago cabs (by law) must accept credit/debit cards.
