The National Association for College Admission Counseling is seeking an experienced software specialist to provide support in researching, coordinating, testing, training, and implementing Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft SharePoint, Adobe design applications, telecommunications software/programming, and other software products in ensuring efficient functioning of the Association's technology solutions.
PRICIPLE RESPONSIBILITES:
Assist and instruct staff members in a variety of desktop business solutions and design software applications; modify software to meet user needs.
Assist Information Systems staff by analyzing association software needs and requirements; assist in the utilization of software, hardware, and software applications to meet user needs; research and recommend software solutions to meet user needs.
Install, test, and maintain desktop software for staff; ensure all software patches and upgrades are installed on each desktop; assist with setup of new computer systems.
Assist staff in resolving software operating problems; serves as internal software consultant by providing technical guidance.
Provide high level of customer service and support to all members, customers, and staff.
Maintain software inventory, assurance programs, maintenance contracts, and licenses.
Develop and conduct software training sessions for staff.
Develop and maintain software procedures.
Evaluate and research software applications and solutions for the association.
Maintain digital telephone system and database; train staff on voicemail and phone operations; modify phone endpoints for staff needs; maintain automated attendant recordings; maintain and modify telephone unified messaging integrated with Exchange.
Maintain e-list program; serves a technical support for staff and subscribers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors' degree in computer science or business management. Microsoft Certified Application Professional preferred.
SKILLS:
Excellent analytical and complex problem solving skills. Ability to identify and resolve complex computer software/hardware problems.
Demonstrated success in developing and conducting individual and group training. Ability to handle multiple software projects simultaneously.
Professional oral, written, and comprehension abilities. Strong interpersonal communication skills which offer excellent customer service and support, a spirit of cooperation, adaptability and flexible in workgroups.
EXPERIENCE:
Five + years experience training users on desktop computer applications and operating systems. Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Solutions, SharePoint, and Adobe design products. Management of telecommunications systems and help desk support.
