A Shared Agenda for College Access and Success

Organized by NACAC and the Pathways to College Network

A group of eleven organizations dedicated to improving the transition to higher education came together to host this Congressional policy briefing at NACAC's 2006 Legislative Conference. The speakers below made the case for stronger linkages between K-12 and postsecondary education policy under three issue areas: rigorous currculum, college counseling, and financial aid.
Congressional members and staff can use these testimonies as resources for strengthening state/federal collaboration and K-12/postsecondary linkages in the No Child Left Behind Act, the Higher Education Act, and other federal legislation to improve college access.
