Robin Mamlet
Robin Mamlet, Senior Consultant at Witt/Kieffer and lead consultant for their enrollment practice, is an executive recruiter for higher education and non-profits at the senior level of leadership. She works on searches for presidents, executive directors, provosts, deans, chief development officers, chief student affairs officers, and chief enrollment and admission officers.
Mamlet has 23 years of admission experience, most recently as Dean of Admission and Financial Aid at Stanford University (CA). Prior to her work at Stanford, she served as Dean of Admission at Swarthmore College (PA), The Lawrenceville School (NJ), and Sarah Lawrence College (NY). Her early admission experience was gained at Occidental College (CA) and Pomona College (CA).
Since joining Witt/Kieffer in 2005, Mamlet has placed nearly two dozen enrollment leaders. She lives in Swarthmore (PA) with her husband, Charlie Brown, their children Chloe and Austin, and their dog Chief.
Dr. Steven G. Olswang
Dr. Steven G. Olswang was appointed Interim Provost at City University of Seattle in January, 2008. Prior to that, he served as Interim Chancellor of the University of Washington, Bothell, from 2005 to 2007,and Interim Chancellor of the University of Washington, Tacoma, from 2004 to 2005. He previously served for almost 20 years as Vice Provost and Vice Provost for International Education for all three campuses of the University of Washington. He is a Professor in the College of Education, UW Seattle, in the Area of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. As Vice Provost, Dr. Olswang was responsible for the University's faculty personnel system and policy matters related to faculty, administration, and international education. Dr. Olswang received his law degree from the University of Illinois in 1971, and received his Ph.D. in 1977 in Higher Education from the University of Washington.
Dr. Olswang's area of research and teaching includes all facets of law and education, with particular emphasis on legal issues in faculty personnel and governance. He has published over 50 articles, monographs, and chapters on higher education legal issues. In autumn 1994, Dr. Olswang was a Visiting Professor at the University of Cambridge (U.K.) as a J. William Fulbright Academic Administrative Fellow and in autumn 2006 he was a Fulbright Fellow to Germany. In 1997, he was named as a Fellow of NACUA.
Dr. George Kuh
George D. Kuh is Chancellor’s Professor of Higher Education at Indiana University Bloomington where he directs the Center for Postsecondary Research. Founding director of the widely-used National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE), George received a B.A. from Luther College in 1968 after which he served there as an admissions officer for four years. He earned his M.S. from St. Cloud State University (MN) in 1971 and Ph.D. from the University of Iowa in 1975.
Kuh has written extensively about student engagement, assessment, institutional improvement, and college and university cultures and consulted with about 200 colleges and universities in the U.S. and abroad. His two most recent books are Student Success in College: Creating Conditions That Matter and Piecing Together the Student Success Puzzle: Research, Propositions, and Recommendations.
In 2001, he received Indiana University’s prestigious Tracy Sonneborn Award for distinguished career of teaching and research.
