Preconference Seminars

Personalize your Austin experience by participating in preconference seminars, which will be held Wednesday and Thursday, September 26-27. Select intensive information and discussion events that focus on the issues that are most relevant to your workplace and student population.

A variety of seminars are offered on Wednesday morning, Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning. Some topics are repeated, offering a flexible schedule for maximizing your professional development time.

Enrollment is limited for all preconference events and they often sell out, so register early!

Receive free resources you can use with your students and their parents to help them better understand the nature of engineering, the academic background needed to pursue engineering, and the various career paths available. Developed as part of the Extraordinary Women Engineers Project, this seminar is designed as a train-the-trainer opportunity. Attendees will be offered stipends to train fellow counselors in their region at state and regional events and at other venues that they have influence in securing.
