No Child Left Behind 

One of NACAC's research-based policy principles is access to quality school counseling. NACAC's reauthorization recommendations for No Child Left Behind (NCLB) focus on the role of school counseling in college access, school reform, and student achievement.
 
Policy Proposal on School Counseling
 
NACAC members' priority legislative goal is improving access to college. Through the professional experience of members and research conducted and commissioned by the association, a need for federal support for school counselors has become apparent.
 
NCLB in the 110th Congress
 
The House Committee on Education and Labor in the 110th Congress has released a discussion draft of Title I of the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB). Read NACAC's comments on the Title I draft. You can also check out NACAC's NCLB Recommendations submitted to Congress in April 2007.
