Foundations of Standardized Admission Testing Suite

NACAC is pleased to present the Foundations of Standardized Admission Testing suite of offerings covering the core concepts of standardized admission testing. Developed in response to the recommendations of the NACAC Commission on the Use of Standardized Tests in Undergraduate Admission, critical topics, such as an overview of institutional objectives for the use of admission tests, ethics/ethical standards in admission testing, admission test properties, test preparation, score disparity, statistical and interpretive concepts, predictive validity, and admission models, are included in the program.

The suite includes:

1) The textbook, Foundations of Standardized Admission Testing. This is the first text to objectively evaluate and analyze one of the critical – and hotly debated – concepts of the college admission counseling profession.

View the Table of Contents and introductions to each of the chapters of Foundations.

Order a copy of Foundations ($85 member/$115 nonmember).

2) Regional trainings of Foundations of Standardized Admission Testing – Concepts for College Admission Professionals will walk participants through the critical knowledge aspects of the textbook and further prepare participants for the Foundations online assessment.

Your participation in these one-of-a-kind trainings will illustrate your commitment to the profession and provide assurance to students, parents, principals, presidents, and other stakeholders that your professional practice is informed by well-understood, documented knowledge of the cornerstone concepts behind the profession.

Each seminar costs $125 per person and includes a copy of the Foundations textbook, refreshments and a 10 percent discount to take the online Foundations assessment.
