Developing leaders is critical to effective student counseling, and this intense one and one-half day professional development workshop offers college counseling department chairs, directors of guidance, secondary school head counselors, or aspiring directors the essential tools and strategies to build, grow and enhance a college counseling department. Directing will explore the fundamentals of building a counseling program, investigate the key components of supervision and management and discuss current trends and hot button issues in college admission. This dynamic and comprehensive workshop will also examine ethics, best practices and FERPA as it relates to the disclosure of information for prospective students and their families. $
