Student Registration: 

Online student registration is highly encouraged for this College Fair!

Requesting information from multiple colleges/universities at this College Fair just got a whole lot easier. Students who pre-register and bring their barcoded printout with them to the Fair will not have to fill out information cards on site! ACT/SAT
Session 1 and 2
-Presented by Daniel Mickelson, Senior Consultant, ACT, Inc. 
     An overview of both tests will be presented. Tips and advice on how to best prepare for the tests will be provided as well as how results are used for college admissions.

Financial Aid 101
Session 1 and 2
-Presented by Kevin Ryan, Senior Financial Aid Advisor, University at Buffalo
 
   You can never have enough information on financial aid.  This workshop is designed to help answer questions that students and parents may have about the process of determining financial need and award aid.

The Right College

    How do you find the college that is right for you?  This workshop will help students and parents examine the important factors to consider when making a decision on where to go to college.

Important information for prospective student athletes will be explored.  Topics include recruitment rules, academics eligibility, letters of intent, and registration with the NCAA Initial Eligibility Clearinghouse.

Are you wondering what it is like to live on campus?  This session will provide information regarding campus-life, the experiences to make your home away from home complete and the benefits of living on campus.

Two Year to Four Year Colleges
Session 1
-Presented by Mark Bunting, Canisius College, Mark Wojnowski, Niagara University, and Kimberly Cruell-Munn, Erie Community College
    
Are you thinking about attending community college?  If so, this session will explain the process of transfer credits to a four-year college or university.  Hear from a student who graduated from community college and transferred into a four-year college.

Easy Tips on Writing Your College Essay
Session 2
-Presented by Donna Shaffner, Dean of Admissions, Daemen College
   
This session gives you the opportunity to learn about what colleges are looking for when reading college essays.  You will leave this session with confidence in writing your college essay.  Some of the questions that will be addressed are: How do I decide on a topic?  What are the skills needed to start writing my college essay?  How do I know if this is the right essay to submit?

Access to the loading dock is on Pearl Street The entrance is across the street from the Hyatt Hotel. There are three docks available behind the Exhibit level for loading and unloading.

Great Lakes Events will mail an exhibitor manual in February with detailed information for shipping and furnishings. Rate for advanced shipping is $42 per 100 lbs- minimum charge $84 (up to 200 lbs).
