2011 GWI Recap
Thanks to everyone who attended the 2011 Guiding the Way to Inclusion Workshop in Chicago! The program proved to be very beneficial, as it challenged attendees to think critically about new ways to work with underrepresented student populations and provided an assortment of opportunities—fusing educational content with individual goals and institution-specific strategies. Registration for this year's workshop included 109 individuals from across the US—making for a geographically diverse group that brought a vast array of knowledge and experiences to the table. We look forward to seeing you in Houston, TX for GWI 2012!
Acknowledgments:
NACAC is grateful to the following organizations for their generous sponsorship of GWI 2011—support that allowed us to provide attendees with a conference rich in programming and networking opportunities.

In addition to the unique plenary/educational sessions that were offered, GWI utilized mentor groups to enrich the attendee experience. Led by veterans in the profession, the mentor groups not only provided structured time to reflect upon individual sessions, but they also served as a channel through which attendees were able to network with colleagues from across the country.
