NACAC will continue to offer technology to support discussion of professional issues by both members and non-members through a public discussion forum. The opening of the NACAC Public Discussion Forum is planned for early 2010.
Current E-list subscribers will be notified when the discussion forum becomes available with instructions about how subscribe. Information will also be published on this webpage. During the first month after the initial launch date, the new public discussion forum technology will exist concurrently with the current E-list technology. This transition period will provide current E-list users sufficient time to re-subscribe to the new technology, after which the current E-list technology will end. The E-list archives will remain available for searching, and complete information on how to access the archives will be announced when the NACAC Public Discussion Forum is launched.
The NACAC Public Discussion Forum will work much like the current E-list in ease of use. Users will be able to receive posts via email, either individually or in digest form, and the list will not be segmented by topic. The new technology will have an improved capability to review discussion topics and search archives for past postings.
